Don’t do it to yourself 🤦‍♀️just don’t

First of all I would just like to say I don’t typically leave reviews, nor am I hard customer to pleas I tend to be very forgiving and will enjoy a book even if it is a slow storyline, or has mildly irritating characters. However, this book saw the line of fluffy and fun and stepped right over it into boring and cringe- and I don’t mind cringe it can be charming- but none of the character’s were fleshed out properly the author relying on their sex appeal to give them personality. Furthermore far to much of the novel was waisted on stupid background information and trauma which was eluded to so much without ever being revealed that i eventually lost interest and just got board. The main character was whiny, and we have established I will put up with whining, however not to the point that it destroys any redeeming qualities. The Love interests for me lacked a vital ingredient for a fictional novel, however this could be mor of a personal preference. They had no power they couldn’t even protect the main character from their influencer ex. This is probs mor a me problem but that made them lose their appeal for me as they were constantly floundering in the simplest of situations. In the end I didn’t finish it and that was a shame as I spent a credit on it. I thought it was a bargain as it goes for over thirty hours, however, now I know why😭🤔I do not recommend it however if you are looking for a similar book that is good I would recommend Pack Darling which I adored!
