John Nehm (f. 1934) debuterede som forfatter i 1975. Han har siden skrevet en lang række romaner, noveller, digte, børne- og ungdomsbøger samt skuespil, primært inden for den socialrealistiske genre. Romanerne "Man går ind ad en port" og "Ståsted søges" dannede grundlag for Morten Arnfreds film "Johnny Larsen", og romanen "De frigjorte" blev i 1993 filmatiseret af Erik Clausen.
