About this listen

Frankie and Simone are sisters and best friends. Could a new man in town drive a wedge between them for the first time ever?

Café owner Frankie has been unlucky in love all her life. It's hard in a small town like Bunyip Bay to meet prospective partners. Her sister, Simone, lost the love of her life years before and is now devoted to raising their two teenage girls, leaving little time for romance. When Frankie is kissed by a handsome stranger who calls her Simone, it's a case of mistaken identity – but who is this man and how does he know Simone?

Logan Knight is in town to meet up with a woman he has met online. Although raised on a farm with his brother Angus, he has travelled the world as a journalist and is now looking forward to meeting a girl and settling down. The girl in the café was an amazing kisser – but not the one he thought he was meeting!

Reclusive farmer Angus wants nothing to do with Logan's plans for improving the property's finances and finding a partner – until he meets the sisters at a wedding. Who is attracted to whom? More importantly, can Frankie and Simone sort out their feelings for the two brothers without destroying their very close bond?

Good series

I enjoy Australian authors and stories.
This series of four books were a fun read
The plot in this book was predictable, but the quirky characters made it worthy.
The angst between Simone and her wayward teenage daughter was delightful as it was also a mother’s nightmare.

Sisters, brothers and secrets.

I have read all four stories in this wonderful series and each has been outstanding. It was wonderful catching up with the three couples and other family members from the previous three books and it was especially wonderful learning more about Frankie and Simone. Both ladies. The gorgeously buff Knight brothers gave the book its sexy edge, with the help of the two well known and loved sisters from Bunyip Creek. Confusion, crossed wires and secrecy rule the day to the detriment of sibling relationships but love overrides the negatives and eventually two new relationships evolve and everything turns up roses.
Rachael Johns wrote that halfway through the book she thought that it had become too complicated and confusing and she thought she should give it up as a bad joke. Luckily for the reader (and listener) she did not. Casey Withoos puts in another stellar performance with her narration but I have just one teeny tiny criticism: she did not give Drew (the hot male lead in Outback Blaze, his sexy British accent ☹️. Regardless of this tiny oversight, I highly recommend the audiobook. I would recommend reading the previous books in the series but if you are not so inclined, Outback Sisters can happily stand alone.

I absolutely loved the Bunyip bay series and I'm sad it's over. Living 40kms from the nearest town and work driving can become so boring. Listening to this series I found myself leaving that bit earlier so i could be in my car longer just to get further along in the book!
As a mum, wife , cook and avid reader I barley find the time to sit and enjoy a good book let alone a series, so being able to listen to this was amazing.

Good read

Not the best in the series, but good enough to be included. Casey Withoos delivers a top notch performance once again.
