About this listen

Runner has a problem. He and 499,000 men and women are trapped in a game. He also just happens to be the only person from IT who could log everyone out safely. And he doesn't remember his password.

He, like everyone else in this nightmare, had his memory scrambled or lost in the process of being loaded into the game. A single garbled message is his only clue to how to save everyone.

The problem is that whoever loaded them into the game loaded their minds completely. If they die, their brains get wiped.

Now it's time for Runner to flex his skills as a power gaming min maxer and see what he can do. Because every time he levels, he might gain the memory of the password. Time to go hardcore.

An Unbelievable Trilogy

I don't think I have laughed or cried more in all the books I have listened to or read, an amazing trilogy that I have listened to multiple times from beginning to end and the narration is exquisite. This trilogy marks the start of William D Arand's insanely interconnected universe.

A great narrator ,an excellent plot

Excellent narrator Jeff Hays in an unusual slant on a typical RPG story that causes the plot line complications in which our “hero”. Reacts to people and the situations he finds himself and interaction with his party and others. Avery good story arc well narrated. Enjoy ♿️🖖🇦🇺 🎄

Nicely done classic sci-fi tropes

While the set up for this story is rooted in classic early cyberpunk (similar to the "matrix", in a way) the the author injects life into an old trope with careful character development... oh, the appropriateness of that statement to story itself... no spoilers!
A well constructed novel with hooks for the sequel I now must purchase.
