About this listen
Victor Bayne never saw himself as husband material, but after an undercover stint as half of a married couple, he’s willing to give it a shot. Jacob Marks was eager to settle down from the get-go, so once Vic popped the question, the wedding should’ve been smooth sailing.
But new evidence has come to light that casts a pall over the whole affair: decades of psychic experimentation and intrigue. Vic would hardly be shocked to discover he’s been an unwitting test subject, but it’s not his name on the roster.
It’s Jacob’s.
Planning a wedding on short notice is challenging enough without a covert investigation. Vic can deal with premarital counseling, floral emergencies, and the world’s most annoying baker - but can he handle what he finds out about his other half?
PsyCop is an ongoing series filled with supernatural action and delightfully awkward humor - with a steady undercurrent of gay romance. It's best enjoyed in order, so if you're new to the series, start with PsyCop book one, Among the Living...and prepare for a hauntingly good time.

A fun mystery!
Preparing for their wedding in Jacob’s WI hometown gives Victor and Jacob the perfect cover to research the disconcerting links between Jacob’s family and the sadistic psychic program that Victor and now Jacob seem to have been part of. There’s a lot to love here: Victor’s hilarious glass-nearly-empty view on the wedding choices and preparations (especially the marriage preparation classes with the Lutheran minister), Jacob’s sister’s grumpy martyrdom as she constantly interferes in the wedding prep, and the intriguing overarching mystery of Jacob’s abilities and past. I do feel like these books have been crafted like an onion, with each layer being peeled back to reveal yet another layer - we’re obviously nowhere near the end of the series yet and that’s wonderful. Audio narrator Gomez Pugh continues to delight as he channels the reluctant, introverted Victor with extra points for his WI accents!

I love vic
This is such a fantastic series. I really love Jordan's writing and how much care she takes in the production and development of her stories. Gomez does another wonderful narration with characters who have grown up with each book. Start from the beginning and enjoy each book.
