About this listen
A tender, steamy story about unexpectedly finding love and being brave enough to let it revise life's narrative in the final book in the beloved Bergman Brothers series.
Viggo Bergman, hopeless romantic, is thoroughly weary of waiting for his happily ever after. But between opening a romance bookstore, running a romance book club, coaching kids' soccer, and adopting a household of pets—just maybe, he's overcommitted himself?—Viggo's chaotic life has made finding his forever love seem downright improbable.
Enter Tallulah Clarke, chilly cynic with a massive case of writer's block. Tallulah needs help with her thriller's romantic subplot. Viggo needs another pair of hands to keep his store afloat. So they agree to swap skills and cohabitate for convenience—his romance expertise to revive her book, her organizational prowess to salvage his store. They hardly get along, and they couldn't be more different, but who says roommate-coworkers need to be friends?
As they share a home and life, Tallulah and Viggo discover a connection that challenges everything they believe about love, and reveals the plot twist they never saw coming: happily ever after is here already, right under their roof.

I WANT TO BE A BERGMAN 😭
I throughly enjoyed and loved every one of the Bergman siblings books but Viggo and Tallulah’s story was hands down my favourite!
I identified so much with Tallulah’s history with family, relationships and love. The representation of Viggo’s ADHD was by far the most accurately I’ve ever seen it described in terms of how I experience my ADHD. I’ve never been able to fully articulate the struggles I have with ADHD the way that Chloe has through Viggo. The feeling that you’re failing at everything you try to be good at so you just jump to the next thing instead of sticking it out because that feeling of failure is so unbearable.
The found family that the Bergman spouses find themselves in after all their struggles with their own childhoods/families is so overwhelmingly loving, I so desperately wish I could find that for myself one day.
When Viggo talks about not wanting to be burden to his parents or friends anymore, to want something for himself and to know he did it himself…that hit me so hard because I feel like that all the time.
Tallulah’s journey through going to therapy to work on her issues that have developed from her childhood is so healthy. Such a refreshing turn of events when so many books will have a character with issues just shut down on the other person followed by a 3rd act break up then make up. Then the book ends with the character not having truly resolved their issues by the end.
The way their love story developed was so beautiful and organic. They become friends, they learn to rely on each other, they learn to trust each other and accept one another for who they are including their issues and flaws. They work on them together. Tallulah wouldn’t have been able to be so vulnerable and accept the help she needed if she didn’t know that Viggo was there to help and support her through it.
Viggo is so emotionally intelligent and mature. He is eloquent and so good at expressing his feelings. He has book and peony tattoos, he rescues animals, he crochets and builds things. HE LOVES ROMANCE NOVELS! He creates the most amazing sounding bookstore I could ever dream to go to and knows how to please a woman in all the ways thanks to his extensive romance novel reading 😍
Viggo Bergman is officially my #1 book boyfriend 🥰
