An unromantic romance
The story started well and had the promise of being intriguing. Serena seemed sweet and lovingly committed to her husband. Lucien appeared to be the gallant and tempting stranger. Circumstances change and as the story progresses so does my annoyance at Lucien’s sanctimonious attitude and bullying ways, and Serena’s inability to communicate important matters when opportunity arises. Aside from lustful desires, I can’t fathom the speedy development of love between these two. They had their HEA but I personally found it neither romantic nor satisfying. A shame though because the bones of the story were good. Not for me.

Very Predictable!
The plot was very predictable. The heroin was dense & kept repeating the same mistakes - would recommend for putting you to sleep !

Absolute Waste of Time
Don’t waste any time on this absolutely ridiculous tale. Stupid heroine - I almost hoped the villain would kill her.
This book was also far too long.
