Publisher's Summary
One bad roll catapults them into a new world...
Five friends, gamers for life, gather for their usual game night. Yet, when they use a strange new die they are transported to a fantasy world where all gaming ideas can come true.
Together, the party must join forces to deal with the vile Necrolord whose plans will not only threaten this world, but Earth as well. Should be easy for a team of adventurers, but when gaming and real life meet, there are situations which cannot be anticipated.
Will Samo use science to solve all her problems? Will Wyatt always resort to violence? Will Bourbon discover lost treasure? Will Falcon restore his kingdom. Will Melf, the bard, find his pants?
All questions and more will be answered in the Fifth Era Apocalypse! A new action-packed and hilarious LitRPG Adventure from Ryan Rimmel, bestselling author of Noobtown.

Dnd
Good book, but not not my cup of tea.
It really does feel like a DnD session

Fun and familiar
The game rules are deliberately set out to remind us of a specific TTRPG. Fun story, nice characters with some development along the way, and a frightening yet enjoyable world to imagine oneself in. Loving everything by this author.

Good! Reminds me of a dnd game for sure!
First off, I would like to note that I have read through a lot of the other reviews, and feel that they are very harsh. This book surprised me on how much it felt like a dnd game. So if your not into dnd. This might not interest you.
Now, my review!
As stated, this book is literally a dnd game that has been transcribed, a bit of fantasy added to it (Spoilers they are pulled into the game and become their characters). But in a lot of ways, I felt as if I was there, watching the game unfold. The banter, the way each character reminded me either of a player I know, or someone I have heard of. Genius!
