About this listen
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of On Fire by Naomi Klein.
For more than 20 years, Naomi Klein has been the foremost chronicler of the economic war waged on both people and planet - and the champion of a sweeping environmental agenda with justice at its centre. Her books have defined our era.
On Fire gathers for the first time more than a decade of her impassioned writing from the front line of climate change and pairs it with new material on the staggeringly high stakes of what we choose to do next.
These essays, reports and lectures show Klein at her most prophetic and philosophical, investigating the climate crisis not only as a profound political challenge but also as a spiritual and imaginative one. Delving into topics ranging from the clash between ecological time and our culture of 'perpetual now', to rising white supremacy and fortressed borders as a form of 'climate barbarism', this is a rousing call to action for a planet on the brink.

A Must Read
A must read/listen for anyone with children and an investment in the future of a liveable planet.
I finally understand what changed between the knowledge and commitment of the 1980's and where we are now and encourage you to add this well documented book to your library and share with family and friends

Amazing book but...
An truly inspiring book and life dedicated to social services that deserve absolute respect. My humble comment is that nuclear has been underestimated. This is probably the most realistic option as buffer to speed up the transition. The so called “green technologies” can not deliver the needed change.
I suggests to read: “prescription for a planet” by Tom Bless who explain the pros and cons of every energy alternative + the nuclear option as the most effective way to revert all the damage and pollution.
