About this listen
She may have forgotten her past, but her past hasn’t forgotten her…
Tori Blake arrives in Marble Falls with nothing. Nothing but a note in her hand and cash in her pocket. She doesn’t know if those two things will be enough to get her the help she needs. She doesn’t know if they’ll lead her to the past she can’t remember.
What she does know is that someone is trying to kill her. If she doesn’t figure out who she was, and fast, her past might not be the only thing she loses.
Former SEAL Oliver Bolton thinks he has everything he needs. His brothers, their self-defense business, and his freedom. Then he meets her. The beautiful brunette who steals his focus.
When she leaves him with nothing but a fake number, Oliver assumes he’ll never see her again. Until she shows up at Marble Protection—alone, afraid, and in need of his help.
Oliver can’t lose Tori a second time. But as the couple gets closer, and her past even more so, they find themselves in a race against time to unlock Tori’s secrets…before they’re both just memories.

now that's the start of the icing on the cake
This story gave Nyssa open season on what she wanted to create. I was wondering the direction it was going to go, and Nyssa created a wonderful, is she, isn't she?
For me Oliver and Tori didn't have the connection that previous h and H's had.
I was guessing it was because Oliver not only had issues toward Tori but he was one of the last die hard bachelors.
Slow realisations became a wonderful slow burn as things started to get more complicated. The next devious thing the antagonists had in store was a complete twist and opened up the plotline for the last book.
I wanted to shake Tori every now and then but Oliver...gah! He needed a mysoginistic slap upside the head.
It was gutwrenching in places, nicely paced in others, scary hopeless at times and sigh of relief moments.
This book turned out to be one of the more savage stories that Nyssa wrote and in this one i did see a few flaws that I kept wondering why. But in the end it turned out to be the right flaw...what a wonderful idea. It started to move from suspense to angst and i didn't want to stop listening.
Everything was so cleverly put together and relief was but a fingertip away.
The big showdown surfaced in the nick of time and I'm wondering at kye's story.
These super alphas seem to be fast when they need to be but the baddies always seem to get the better of them.
I know it had to be this way for the duration of the series but it was always a frustrating moment in the story.
For the second last novel it was pretty Awesome and action packed.
Loving the narrators, they just kept these amazing characters alive.
