About this listen

Ever wonder what happened to the Isekai’d gamer who found himself incarnated into the overweight body of a LitRPG farmer, only to spit in the face of destiny and earn more money and experience than anyone ever dreamed possible? Fairytales would have you believe he lived happily ever after, but life doesn’t always match up to fairytale endings.

Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer turned clerical error, has now become a thorn in the vindictive Northern Regent’s side. To make matters worse, he has a giant stuck in his well, and the adventurers’ guilds are pounding on his door for the chance to kill it (which is more than a little annoying, as all Arnold wants to do is focus on taking his trap method wide while he builds a farm to give down-on-their-luck farmers like him a chance).

However, there is “one” little problem with his plan: changing the world isn’t easy, and Arnold needs an entire industry that doesn’t currently exist.

And resource management is hard.

And trying to find good employees is difficult.

And Blackwood doesn’t have the infrastructure to support all these people (even if he does).

And the regent is out for blood and trying to ruin him.

And no matter what he tries, the giant won’t die.

And for some reason, Ranic wants him to find a goal that gives his life meaning.

So let’s see how well his happily ever after really goes…

OP main character eating from a silver spoon

"Oh great, I'm a wanker that got everything handed to me by an overindulging system. let's all liaten to me talking about how great I am without any actual story archs."
The narrating is OK but really hard to put up woth the over-american accent. Yeah the main character is a farmer but he's meant to me in a fresh separate world so he doesn't neet to sound like a redneck yippy haieh corn-chewer and I doubt nobles inthe middle ages would ALL sound like the are fress from exiting the stihl room.
Maximum autism!!!!!!

An excellent expansion of the series

I massively enjoy the world setup and explored and this sequel gave me everything I wanted with the sole exception that I wanted it to never end. But I suppose the idea of leaving us wanting more holds true as I never felt like the book overstayed its welcome and I’m keenly awaiting the next in the series.

Voice acting is superb.

Listened to this as an audiobook. Moves at a fast pace, funny and made to be listened to.

A wonderful sequel

It's so refreshing to see a solid LitRpg with a wholesome story, good solid fun, good lessons, that delivers expectations.
thank you for a great sequel to an unexpected and fun first book that delivered far above expectations.
this book throws infinate money at all problems, but provides a solid reason as to why it works so there's less of a I'm the main character so I'm perfect vibe and more of a fun game

Great world, great adventure

I really enjoyed this story, which picks up where book one left off. I liked how you got to know more about the main characters and what their role within the story is so far. I feel Arnold continues to grow as a person and I like the decisions that he makes. I liked the information we learned about Salem and I thought it was a great ending. I especially liked the quote at the end, which is also given towards the start of the story. This story certainly gives new meaning to Dwarves. I look forward to reading more of Arnolds journey. I also liked Travis's narration and how he brought the characters to life.
