I loved this book
I simply loved this book.
Short simple story but conveyed so much. I really enjoyed it.
Even though I knew they would probably never get their own plot of land, you still hoped for them.
The ending was so Sad.

this is one of my favourite books, read perfectly. you really feel for the characters and the way they are written. it's only a short book but has a huge impact!

Beautiful performance, heartbreaking story.
A harrowing story with a message that will resonate deep with any reader. The narrator begins the story to life and adds a realism that will leave you heartbroken.

Great listening.
I did this book as a mature age student in English class. (now 73)
it took me back into that class. I feel the movie was longer than the book, but it was still great to listen to.

Compelling story but beware of language
While this is an engaging and interesting story of the relationships between men on a ranch in Depression-era California, be aware of the language that is used by the author. The book is a piece of its time and therefore uses language that is no longer accepted.

A great story
A great story, one of the best so far
The story telling was perfect as well
I knew it was a classic but had know idea what it was about. So loved every thing about it just wished it ended differently

Brilliantly Executed
Beautifully written about a moral dilemma, confronting in its execution. Poetic prose at times and questions moral responsibility of the intellectually challenged. A snapshot of the place and time it was written.
