Everything I wanted

I've loved every one of this series, but this is my favourite (even if it is just a short).
Firstly, Vargas is my favourite character.
Secondly, we actually get some answers about Vargas, The Maker and the universe in general.
This story was less depressing and nihilistic than the last book, which was a welcome change of pace.
Although you could conceivably read this before Battle mage, I wouldn't recommend it (it'd spoil somethings).
Anyway, this was fantastic all the way through!
