About this listen

Awarded Readers' Favorite Bronze Medal for Best Fiction 2022

They banned him from space. But someone has offered him a way back. Can he afford the price? Famed engineer and test pilot Jericho Fox has been grounded for reasons he'd rather put behind him. But a political leader from a rival party offers to send him back to space.

Fox finds himself stuck between working for the enemy and doing what he loves again. Meanwhile, high above Earth on Astraea Station, decorated astrophysicist Dr. Evelyn Park is on the verge of a scientific breakthrough that could make history.

All she needs is for people and equipment to stop bungling things up. Getting both to cooperate will prove harder than she expects. From best-selling novelist Christopher Hopper, who brought you Imperium Descent, Ruins of the Earth, and Ruins of the Galaxy, and with the voice talents of Rebecca Woods and Daniel Wisniewski, comes a new hard scifi space thriller that fans say is "next in line to The Expanse."

Christopher does it again!

Well well, Christopher Hopper does it again... another smash hit from this very talented author. I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end... the story plot, the twists and turns, the build up - all first class writing and storytelling.

Can't wait for Book 2 to see where this is all going to go!!

Narration doesn't get better than this duo

While there is nothing wrong with the book, the narrators do a superb job and lift it to a higher level. This is an entertaining action packed SF adventure with a good storyline although for me it did drag a touch towards the end. At first when I heard the female narrator the accent was very jarring but as we eventually learn the female lead is originally from New Zealand so accent was spot on, Ms Wood nailed it perfectly. No complaints at all about the male narrator, so so talented. Was glad to find bk2 was released as I was listening to this, jumped for joy as want to continue listening to this series. Who needs TV when you can listen to something like this.
