Such an honour listening to Isobelle narrating this herself!
Being able to revisit one of my fave books as a child alongside the author was incredible. I really loved her intonations who would have thought she would be an accomplished narrator too!

Love this series
I read the paper copy of this book years ago. When I saw it as an audiobook I was overjoyed and it didn’t disappoint. Having the actual author narrating it was brilliant because you know she knows how these characters are meant to sound. Can’t wait to continue listening.

Very enjoyable
Have read book years ago but enjoyed audio version. The 4 for performance was due to chapter numbers out of sync, chapter on screen would say 15 but voice would say 14.
Actual performance of voice was very good.

My fav fantasy series
I’ve read this series for years and was SO excited to see the author read the audio books! It’s so good to hear the names and accents read by Isobelle. Now please get this made into a Netflix series!!!!!

Amazing to listen to a deep long treasured favourite read by the author. Isobelle adds much charm and spirit and brings the characters alive in all their complexity

escape to another time
I love this new/ old world
I love the possibility this world could actually happen
my only issue was
with the reader...
some people write great stores...
and some people have amazing readings voices
the gentleness of her voice didn't go with the character
in my opinion.. sory
