Flawless. Addictive. Beware.
Outstanding performance, brilliant, witty writing that keeps you wanting more.. I started my JD Kirk journey on this one, finished this series and have circled back to the jack Logan series which has been on par with the level of awesomeness in this series. However you can’t go past a good “Hoonarism”

Brilliant!!
Fantastic, JD Kirk is a modern day literary marvel. Thank you JD for your hours of effort on your craft! (although worry about the mind that delivers such amazing dialog and plot conception. 😂)

The redemption of Bob Hoon
It’s hard to believe that the author could manage to redeem Bob Hoon, formerly a corrupt cop and still a man who can’t utter a sentence, no matter the context or company, without dropping several expletives into it. I never thought I’d find myself rather liking him, but such is the magic of fiction. In Northwind, Hoon is portrayed as an honourable if foul mouthed man, who puts himself in harms way repeatedly to help a friend.
The plot flies along, and the story is both hilarious and tragic. Angus King, as ever, is simply brilliant.
