About this listen
The first day of Mia's new life in Grayslake, Georgia, is not going as planned. The house her grandfather left her looks ready to crumble, boxes cover every inch of the floor and - oh - there's a bear cub in her pantry. It gets worse when the cub's uncle comes by and busts out his fur and claws while on her front porch. Then it gets loads better because suddenly there's a hot hunk of badge-wearing werebear on her lawn ready to rescue her. Yum. Of course, he has to ruin things by trying to take the cub out of her hands. Ha! The cub is hers...no ifs, ands, or bears about it.
Werebear Ty can't seem to get the curvaceous, delectable Mia to understand that, even if she is one-quarter werebear, she isn't keeping the cub. Ty is the Grayslake Itan, the clan's leader, and the little werebear is going home with him. Unless it isn't. It's her smile. If she'd stop smiling and being gorgeous, his inner-bear would support him and Ty would get his way. But the beast wants to make his woman happy, so it's perfectly content to let her do as she pleases. Then things change. Threats arise, danger comes close, and Ty demands she return to his den. No ifs, ands, or mates about that.

Very enjoyable.
AUDIBLE REVIEW 23
Very enjoyable, though I found Mia’s actions during the battle and challenge fight a let-down. She doesn’t protect herself even though her people are being shot and death is happening all around her.
Just wish she’d done more.
BOOK REVIEW
A really good introduction to a new series.
Mia and Ty were a great couple who seemed to balance each other. Mia did not allow Ty to overpower her and acted as an Itana would and should. This made sure she was treated as his equal.
Mia was really a great heroine, smart, sassy and full of humorous asides.
Running through all this is clan politics and the safety of Parker, a four year old cub who Mia has decided is HERS, No Ifs Ands or Bears About It.
Ty was wonderful alpha and hero. Loving, strong and just seemed like a really good guy.
Some humour helped to keep this story from becoming too serious and mired in the mess created by a rotten old Itan and his horrible niece and nephew from another clan.
At first you think this is just another shifter romance but the second half of this story definitely went down a darker and heavier path than one first expects, but it all worked really well and I kept reading to see what would happen next. A good cast of characters are introduced for us to meet and await their books.
I read this series a while ago but the author recently asked for reviews to be published and as I love Celia Kyle’s work it was no hardship to reread this series. Glad Celia asked me, I had forgotten how good they are.
This is my honest review of this book though I had previously purchased it.

Insta love
This is an insta love book. There is no getting to know each other just bam we are in love now. Within 3 book days the main characters are in love. Personally don't like these types of books for me there needs to be some story to their feelings for each other.
Only positive I can give this book is the mfc is not a size 0 and that is presented well by the author
