Publisher's Summary
Forgiveness isn't an option....
Detective Garda Sergeant Mike West and his partner answer an emergency call from St Monica’s church and discover a dead body suspended from the beams in front of the altar.
The victim’s fingerprints show that the man is Ian Moore, recently released from prison after serving time for rape. Revenge seems like the obvious motive for his murder, but the list of suspects grows as the case takes an unexpected twist.
Is the killer someone who believes they are doing God’s work?
With pressure from archbishops, bishops, priests and Inspector Morrison to get the case solved quickly, West and his team have their work cut out....
No Crime Forgotten is a murder mystery with a touch of romance, set in the Dublin suburbs. It will appeal to fans of authors such as Peter James, LJ Ross and Ruth Rendall.

OMG 😳 awesome series you must listen
Please please please tell me that’s not where it finishes!! Oh please one more of this incredible series with them getting married. I have avidly listened to Edel & Mike’s story throughout the whole 5 books 📚 and must say that after 500+ books I have found THE best crime author ✍️ there is. Most come close, I have read over 2 dozen different authors and as far as storyline and content Valerie Keogh is my favourite 😍 thanks for a fantastic listen.

It’s “penitent”, “penitence” and “penitents”
As usual this was an easy entertaining read. I expect narrators to make occasional mistakes in pronunciation, but to allow the Audible version to be published with the same mistake made over and over is unforgivable. Stephen Daly is a good narrator. He’d have accepted the corrections if anyone had bothered to make them. Instead, it looks lazy as on the part of the publishers and does Daly no favours either.

Book 5 out of 6 of the longest series ever
After Edele moves in with West suddenly all of the details of "her undeniable beauty" stop instantly. Reminds me of most men haha, captivated until they get the girl. But of course Edele is still needed as she is smarter than the police and solves their crime's quicker than they do, more about her character is that the Garda all agree and she a writer leads the way on investigations and often is the one to solve them. Hint: You could easily turn this book into a drinking game, take a shot every-time they have a coffee or pot of of tea, I have never read so many details about the characters drinking coffee or tea and the length the writer will go to to describe if a biscuit, saucer, spoon or cake was involved, the sugar quantity of milk used.
Funnily enough the writer never mentioned anyone having to use the toilet after the copious cups of coffee and tea.
I must give a standing ovation to the narrator, so many voices needed for the story and all having a distinct accent was superb, never once faltering. If there is an award for the best narrator. This narrator should get first place!

I have finished another book ,what a most enjoyable series. Really enjoyed everything about it. the only trouble was trouble in putting it down Great storyline, characters, and narration. This was as good as the others in the series. I am looking forward to listening to more by this author.

A book easily forgotten
Excellent narration and a well-written setting, but the increasingly predictable plot lines mean the series lies somewhere between a cosy mystery and a 1990s tv police procedural.
The male Garda characters stumble through, tripping over improbable clues and baddies not helped by unreliable tech and perhaps disinterested senior officers.
Mike West is unflappable and always solves the case but is too besotted to see what disaster magnet his girlfriend Edel becomes over the first five essentially stand-alone books. Edel, is incredibly naive and while unbelievably unlucky she somehow survives repeated perils - kidnappings, sexual assaults and homicidal maniacs over the five books. Ironically Edel decides to write mysteries for a living. If Garda West wasn’t having to rescue his girlfriend every couple of chapters the crimes would be solved much faster.
A light listen, great for a car trip.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
I’ve listened to many crime fiction novels and I’m finding this series most enjoyable.
It has the romance element which I think adds something refreshing to this genre.
I’ve enjoyed the crimes and characters involved.
I couldn’t stop listening.
Thanks.

Crime & Romance mixed together for a very pleasant book
This series is an absolute must if you want an easy listening crime story with a little romance thrown in. Love the characters Mike & Edel & can’t wait to see where their relationship goes. Love this series & have binged the books since finding them on Audible. Valerie Keoghan is my new favourite Author.
