Publisher's Summary
A star-studded cast of readers presents unabridged tales of horror and suspense from master storyteller Stephen King.
The Stephen King Amusement Park - an unnerving experience, with rides every which way to hell...and a few to glory.
A solitary finger pokes out of a drain. Novelty teeth turn predatory. The Nevada desert swallows a Cadillac. Meanwhile, the legend of Castle Rock returns...and grows on you. What does it all mean? What else could it mean? Stephen King is here with a powerful collection of stories - a vast, many-chambered cave of a volume.
The long reach of Stephen King's imagination will take you on a roller coaster to places you've never been before. You will lose sleep. But Stephen King, writing to beat the devil, will do your dreaming for you.

Good purchase
I love Stephen King long or short his stories grab you and take you on a journey
One thing that did drive me a little nuts though was the musical riffs during and between stories slightly irritating.

Some Actors can tell stories- others struggle...
I found that some actors had the magic touch reading these... others sounded a little stilted... or worse- too familair to draw you into the story. No offence to the Voice Actor of Lisa Simpson- but I couldn't get the image out of my head while listening to her story/laugh...
In any case my favourite stories have to be Chattery Teeth & Crouch End- and they'll both stick with me- : )

Great stories, production could improve
Great stories and great narrators! The only reason I dropped a star is due to the random music breaks which didn’t make sense and were poor quality, but don’t let that put you off this wonderful collection. I would also like to see the chapter titles to make it easier to navigate and switch between reading and listening especially for such a long book.

Craptacular
Crappiest book ever. Seems like it’s written by a deranged lunatic. I was told Stephen King was a great author… nope

Mostly disappointing, with a few good stories
A trusted friend advised me that this is one of King's best collections. I was looking forward to it, but the overall quality was disappointing. There are a few good stories, but the majority range from average to downright terrible. I can name at least three that are practically about NOTHING. They go nowhere and have no plot. Just people sitting around talking.
The narrators equally run the spectrum. Some are great, others are barely tolerable. I'm personally not a fan of King himself narrating. Good narrators draw you into the story, King just feels like a guy reading off the page. No range at all.
