Publisher's Summary
Written before she began her experiments in the writing of fiction, Virginia Woolf's second novel, Night and Day, is a story about a group of young people trying to discover what it means to fall in love. It asks all the big questions: What does it mean to fall in love? Does marriage grant happiness? What is happiness? Night and Day is a conventional novel; however, it maps out for us the world of Virginia Woolf in its wondrous prose: for her it was the beginning, leading on to a prolonged engagement with her search for the means to express the 'inner life'.

Juliet Stevenson does it again!
This is the firs Virginia Woolf I've ever read/listened to and it was marvellous. As with all classics, n some ways it hasn't aged well, in other ways it has stood the test of time.
Honestly though, any time you see the name Juliet Stevenson as the narrator you know you're in for a treat. Don't pick this narration if you like the narrator to use their natural voice the whole way through, pick it if you like them to differentiate voices for different characters to really bring their personality to life. She does it so well.

Brilliant, the whole territory of feeling explored
The voice of the author resonates to the core in Juliet's reading of this sensitive work of art!
