From the acclaimed master of action and suspense. The all time classic.

An airliner crashes in the polar ice-cap. In temperatures 40 degrees below zero, six men and four women survive.

A classic adventure

It's nice to see a classic action-adventure still holding strong in the decades since it was written. Well read, too.

Terrible mix of accents

The accents and drama are excessive. The impact and excellent story are completely undone.

Kazablanka

Written during Alistair Maclean's best period. While this wasn't his best ever plot (the big reveal as to what it was all in aid of was slightly underwhelming), the story was gripping and exceptionally well written, with few plot holes. At his best, this guy could really write!
