Overly convoluted and long winded!
l have had to tackle this book several times to actually complete it.
The story was full of excuses for people actions as they were drunk. l live where you can (in my mind) murder someone when drunk or under the influence of other substances and be convicted of manslaughter not murder. Not consistent with my values at all. This has coloured my view if this book.

Not the usual quality
While a favoured Noir author, this book the third in this series was a disappointment.
It felt like the entire cast of regulars had been dunked in dumb tank, the suspects were teenagers, the parents were sadly lacking, and weather was so disappointing.
Anyway book four has been pre-ordered in anticipation of the original thrill returning for final book in the series.
