Loved it.

It may be sexist, lewd, crude and about as far from PC as you can get, but a fascinating yarn told by the perfect narrator.

This book comes alive for me and leting me me become Frost vicariously, warts and all. A chain smoking, slovenly curmudgeon who is worth his weight in gold to victims, but held in bad odour by all the ambitious chest beaters and self promoters that form the upper ranks.

An old style copper with all the tricks and cunning of a master super sleuth with none of the ego.
