About this listen
A true misfit may be the key to finally defeating Lorach, but only if Jason learns its powers in time.
Having stopped Lorren and saving the egg, Jason now faces his most dangerous threat as Lorach moves on Dragon Haven.
With the city under attack from a strange new power, only with an understanding of the misfit dragons will Jason - and the dragons - finally be free. When even Dragon Haven seeks to use their power, Jason is forced to make a choice between the people who took him in and the dragons he pledged to protect.
For Jason, long a misfit himself, the choice is more difficult than he ever imagined. One choice means Lorach will extend their influence beyond their borders and continue their reign of devastation, but the other means the misfits will be sacrificed.
Contains mature themes.

Wonderful
Wonderful story, great ending, excellent narrator,
One big flaw.
I love the series, and it's unique view on dragons.
There are just enough twists to make it really interesting.
Unfortunately this book in particular has one big flaw, the author wants so much for the reader to understand the thought process of the lead character that he goes too far and repeats his thinking over and over again to the point where I wanted to skip forward. By this book I knew Jason really well and understood how his mind works, I didn't need the in-depth description of every single thought and decision. The action gets bogged down in several places by the overwhelming explanations, and the imagery is often lacking because of it.
If I was the editor I would have sent the author back to condense the thought process descriptions and expand the imagery, give the action a faster pace and improve the overall flow of the story.
That would take this book from a 7/10 to a 9/10.
