Stunning, and disturbing
Yuval Noah Harari has written another masterpiece which is both profound and disturbing. Highly recommend this thought provoking work. Excellent narration.

Human brain runs on common beliefs and stories
Chapter 2.. The fundamental truth about who we are has humans is our belief in common delusions our systems are built on the common delusions. That is reality you cant un see once you have seen it 🙏

History and the power of storytelling
This book is mind blowing. I simply can't stop listening. Movies should be made based on this book. The engaging historical storrytelling while staying objective leads to logical conclusions the reader can't argue with. The reader I'd great BTW.
But the key point for me, is the power of storytelling and how convincing it is. If one day AI could produce a story like this, we are doomed.
Yuval Noah Harrari, you mess with my head, in a good way, every time I read your books. keep writing please. Thank you.

Excellent book, superbly written and completely up to date. The only criticism is that itcould have been longer, and dwelt in historical comparisons longer!

An important book
Having read all Yuval Noah Harari’s books, including his early military histories, I had high expectations of his latest effort! It has proven to be an intellectual feast, one I suggest everyone should dine on! The insights into our current era, with the lessons of the past so clearly communicated, will keep it on the bestseller lists for years! Highest recommendation!

He talks endlessly about the ills of the Catholic Church (which is fine) but then when he harps on and on about Israel and the Jews he never mentions the absolutely abhorrent genocide and occupation they are currently executing.

a huge amount to digest
I really enjoyed this thought provoking and topical discussion around AI and what history can teach us about its impact on the world. The book covers a lot of ground and I found it to be thought provoking, engaging and sounding a warning on how we as societies need to engage with AI sooner rather than later. I am left with the question ringing in my ears “what is your political party of choice’s policy on AI”….a needed and necessary book of our time, thank you for writing it Mr Harari and Mr Perkins for reading it so beautifully.
