Editorial Review
Critic Reviews
'Tremendous, thought-provoking and so very well reasoned. Harari gives us a vision of a rapidly approaching future that is at one and the same time thrilling and chilling. If there is one book that I would urge everyone to read – our political, corporate and cultural leaders most especially – it is Nexus' (STEPHEN FRY)
'Harari has a unique ability to unite both history’s finest details and its grandest megatrends in a single view. This deeply important book comes at a critical time as we all think through the implications of AI' (MUSTAFA SULEYMAN)
'Harari is one of the most remarkable intellects of our generation – bold, original, erudite, provocative and entrancing. His latest book reimagines everything from literacy to AI and – like all his books – fundamentally shifts one’s view of the world' (Rory Stewart)

Outstanding again
I definitely held the naive view of information networks before I read this book, I am happy to have a more nuanced understanding now,

History and the power of storytelling
This book is mind blowing. I simply can't stop listening. Movies should be made based on this book. The engaging historical storrytelling while staying objective leads to logical conclusions the reader can't argue with. The reader I'd great BTW.
But the key point for me, is the power of storytelling and how convincing it is. If one day AI could produce a story like this, we are doomed.
Yuval Noah Harrari, you mess with my head, in a good way, every time I read your books. keep writing please. Thank you.

excellent!
Excellent book, superbly written and completely up to date. The only criticism is that itcould have been longer, and dwelt in historical comparisons longer!

Have the Aliens already arrived?
Having read the previous books as well, the title caught my attention, of course, From the first stone age networks of Homo Sapiens to AI and AGI? Obviously no doubts at all to
Listen first, later buy a Hard Cover Book for my limited Bookshelf?
Yes. I will.
Harari has dived deep into the present debate plus done his homework well: His historic research into networks throughout history of Mankind including Rome and other periods goes to show: Power and aggression and wars and self destruction of nations or Empires or later Germany and Hitler and Stalin in Russia and their Networks and setup of Communication are examined carefully and compared with networks today and AI and AGI options. Aliens are real now, not from Space but from Cyberspace! And power corrupts! A 2nd Hitler or Stalin or Mao with Weapons of Mass Destruction and Machines and Robots at hand might obviously lead to the destruction of Mankind, and the Universe has a lot of time! Without men. Evolution took some time, Homo Sapiens might be out of control of AGI in the near future. Networks might seek truth after all. Wisdom as well. Fake news and Bots or Aliens might destroy Democracy pretty soon! Another Lunatic will start unconditioned total wars with machines or robots and we all are gone. Finished! No new starts of Mankind! Science Fiction? Rather not!
Well read Audiobook and well produced as well! Highly appreciated and recommended! A must for sure! Harari at his best.

Important read for anyone with a smartphone
The approach to AI in historical context is without parallel. Far more insightful and well thought out than the hyperbole of any media outlet or tech bro!
