Editorial Review
Critic Reviews
'Tremendous, thought-provoking and so very well reasoned. Harari gives us a vision of a rapidly approaching future that is at one and the same time thrilling and chilling. If there is one book that I would urge everyone to read – our political, corporate and cultural leaders most especially – it is Nexus' (STEPHEN FRY)
'Harari has a unique ability to unite both history’s finest details and its grandest megatrends in a single view. This deeply important book comes at a critical time as we all think through the implications of AI' (MUSTAFA SULEYMAN)
'Harari is one of the most remarkable intellects of our generation – bold, original, erudite, provocative and entrancing. His latest book reimagines everything from literacy to AI and – like all his books – fundamentally shifts one’s view of the world' (Rory Stewart)

Yuval Noah Harari has written another masterpiece which is both profound and disturbing. Highly recommend this thought provoking work. Excellent narration.

Important read for anyone with a smartphone
The approach to AI in historical context is without parallel. Far more insightful and well thought out than the hyperbole of any media outlet or tech bro!

Insightful
As with his other books, Yuval’s research is impeccable. He is brilliant at bringing it all together and making it understandable; even if it is a little scary.

the rise of AI
a lot of insights as usual he is thought provoking. But I found he deviate from the topic sometimes and it got convoluted. The book focus a lot on AI and it feels pessimist at times, but I also thought there was a lot of assumptions too. good book but not his best one in my opinion

One of the most important books to read this decade
Although it’s a hefty read, and takes a long time to get to everyone’s current obsession (A.I.), it is worth taking onboard every page and every idea. In the age of TilTok and YouTube it’s popular to say ‘Content is King’, but here Harare reminds us of a much more fundamental truth: Context is King.
All technologies can be used for good or ill, most are used for both, but rarely has there been a new technology who’s Ill-use could plunge us back into the Dark Ages, or eradicate the hard-won journey to liberal democracies with a wave of an autocrats hand.
Please read this book, so that we can all pay attention and speak out when leaders, business, political and social, misuse or empower the dark side of our information systems. If enough people push for the positive use-case, perhaps Trump, Putin, Musk, Zuckerberg and others will be turned away from destabilising society for their own greed. Perhaps.

Very true - Elon is actively manipulating us already
He rightly points out how fake news is being used to radicalise people and empower autocrats like Trump
