About this listen
The popular and highly respected horse trainer Mark Rashid brings together Western and Eastern philosophies to demonstrate a seamless new incarnation of horse training. After years of helping "difficult" horses, Mark Rashid understands how to build the foundation of a horse's training and resolve any problems encountered along the way. He explains how he allows the traditionally firm or assertive approach of the old Western style to take some lessons from the softer conflict resolution and ego reduction approach that the Japanese martial art of aikido teaches. Rashid's ultimate goal is harmony between horse and rider.

Another great story from Mark Rashid
Story is brilliantly though provoking, the narration is stilted which makes the narrative lack flow.

All horse folk should listen to this one
beautifully read and a truly wonderful work. Many "Aha!" moments and much common sense. I like how Mark Rashid thinks and I think all of our horses could benefit if we all pondered Nature and their world from time to time, rather than just assuming ours is the only way. Loved listening and learning. Highly recommended!

Insights cleverly exemplified by horses and Akido
Treasure trove of wisdom for living not just with horses, but also with one-another. Made accessible through relatable real-life experiences gathered by the author during horse and Akido training. Very worthwhile listening to.
