Good start to story arc
I enjoyed listening to the story and finding out more about Penny, her magical skills and her eccentric mother but there seemed to be something lacking (I can’t pinpoint exactly what) which I hope will be fixed in the next part of the story.

Not bad
I like where this book is going. I definitely feel like it's missing something and the whole 'I love you so I'm going to hurt you in order to protect you from my imagined failings' is just so nonsensical to me. But I do love the badass heroin who is freaking out and hiding in the cupboard.

I struggled to finished this book, maybe it's just me but I don't get the story line, it bores me to tears sorry but the only saving grace is the narrative by Nicole Pool she is amazing as always.

not as good as I'd hoped
i was somewhat frustrated by this storyline. it was a little too cliched and predictable. the main character didn't seem too upset that she'd been kept in the dark all her life. she suddenly became confident in her abilities when she shouldn't have been. characters like the mother were redeeming features

magical storyline for a running series. very good
liked the story.
narrator was excellent.
if you like magic,spells and the odd vamp and werewolf and other colourful characters then this for you.
will check out the next one and see...
