About this listen
Since the dark days of the Great Awakening, the scattered remnants of humanity have clung to a bleak existence, surviving howsoever they can, no matter what the cost.
Tamra, a voivode of the Rictus clans, fights one last, desperate battle for the survival of her tribe, the Drak. Now her people face their most relentless enemy ever - the lumbering minions of the Plague God. Where is their lord Nagash, the Undying King, when his people need him most? As the gods and their servants vie for power in the Mortal Realms, Tamra is drawn into a deadly game between life and death, as beings long thought gone start to exert their powers once again.

An enjoyable but not impactful
It was great to hear conflict between forces of Nurgle and the Undead. There never seemed to be much danger though. I never felt for our main characters or doubted that they would infact make it out ok. The conflict felt like it was over before it started and only a few tribal humans risked anything. Nagash makes an appearance but ultimately the story isn't about him. He may be at risk but that seems like a very, very small risk that never even comes close to happening.

Brilliant story, excellent narration
This is an amazing story of horrific battles and politicking with vivid, dour descriptions of the world and the people that fight to survive in it. Highly recommended
