Charlene reluctantly offers to trail her in a car, just in case she does lure the kidnapper and things go wrong.

Entertaining horror story

If you go into this book expecting it to be like “Wolf Hunt” or “Ferocious”, you will be disappointed, as the style is quite different and there is no comedy in this book.

However it was well written, and the main characters were likeable, and reasonably smart. The villain was okay, although I’m not sure if he’ll be entirely memorable. There were a few deaths and a bit of gore, it was a quick read and kept me entertained.

This is not my favourite Jeff Strand though, as it was more of a straight crime/horror rather than horror-comedy, which he does so well.

The narrator was excellent.
