London, 1899: Head of Special Branch Commander Thomas Pitt is summoned to Buckingham Palace. Great story: some difficulties with the recording

A fan of Anne Perry’s some years ago, I have recently returned to her work. As usual, the story was most enjoyable, delicately interwoven.
Difficulties with the recording from time to time marred the overall performance slightly.

Issues with recording

Unfortunately there were quite a few issues with the recording which ruins the story. If this was not the case I would have given it a 3 and 1/2 stars.
