Murder on the Marlow Belle by Robert Thorogood

As I've mentioned in my previous reviews for this series by Robert Thorogood, I love the Death in Paradise television series, and I think this series is full of the same shenanigans with less of the police procedural.

The flamboyant director of the Marlow Amateur Dramatic Society (MADS), Oliver Beresford, has been shot on board the Marlow Bell as it cruised down the Thames. Before anyone even knows he's dead, his wife, Verity, goes to Judith, Suzie, and Becks for help. This time, they aren't helping DS Tanika Malik with the investigation because there's been a formal complaint made about her use of the civilian amateur sleuths.

This one ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, so I hope Robert writes The Mysterious Affair of Judith Potts quickly, as everyone will be clamouring for it. GoodReads says it'll be out early in the new year.

I ordered the book pre-sale, so that I'd have it as soon as it came out. Loved the book, and Nicolette McKenzie has read it beautifully, as always. CAN'T BELIEVE the cliff hanger it ends on! Robert Thorogood, I maybe yelled at you out loud when it ended like that! 😂 Can't wait for the next one to find out what happens! Thank you!

loved the multiple stories coming together to take the reader down different paths and conclusions only with a twist at the end.
