Ok, but please, not “Mum”!!!!

The fact that aristocratic young women addressed their mother as “Mum” 🤦‍♀️ grated every time I heard it. It’s simply impossible that this would have occurred. It’s Mummy, Mamma, or Mother.
A few other missteps….one says “How do you do” when being introduced, and as the son of British ex-pats in India, Alfred would have been sent “home” to school in England at around 8, not grown up in India.
Otherwise a reasonably entertaining cozy 😊
