Publisher's Summary

A twisted MO torn straight from the history books.

Arnold Landon steps out with his lady friend, hunting for relics on the deserted dig site where he works. Before long, they stumble on something under a bridge. The mangled remains of Arnold’s fellow historian.

His chest gapes open, his insides arranged in a pair of bloody wings.

Arnold’s no expert, but he knows a blood eagle when he sees one—the handiwork of a berserker warrior. Mad with blood lust and out for vengeance.

Who will believe that’s possible? The police are skeptical. But as the body count rises, Arnold’s wild theories become harder to discount.

Can he piece it all together before the killer strikes again?

Quite a good read.

Not bad and holds interest throughout. The actual writing is very good as is the narrator. Charterers are all different and well developed by the author. The main plot and the side intrigues are not overly deep and a bit predictable. As pointed out at the beginning, The story is set thirty years ago and does not date well. Days of police procedure could be replaced by a two minute online search. If you read 30 of this genre , worth a look. If you only read 3, move along.
