About this listen

Lucas King has got it all; good looks, charm, wealth, fame and a drop-dead diva for a girlfriend. But it all comes crashing down when Lucas gets entangled in a web of deceit, betrayal, and a perilous murder case.

One night, Lucas returns home from a club only to find his girlfriend, Victoria Briggs lying dead in his apartment. Lucas, howbeit innocent of the murder, takes a rash and drastic decision as regards his girlfriend's corpse. Trouble comes when Victoria's sister, Ciara Briggs, comes into town in search of her sister. She also involves her father General Briggs in the search.

After a series of futile and unsuccessful searches, General Briggs enlists the John Smith, a famed detective renowned for his intelligence and detective prowess. General Briggs and Detective Smith, coupled with the police captain of the city, immediately commence their investigation. But just as Detective Smith identifies a motly collection of suspects and presumed murderers, the murder case takes a new turn as secrets and betrayals are revealed - which only deepens the mystery of the killer's identity.
