A wonderful love story

Wonderful
I loved this book. It is heartwarming, funny, witty, insightful and altogether just delightful. Easily identifiable to adventurous, mature readers! It is beautifully written and read

So true to life
I loved that the story covered so many of the aspects of a couple venturing into retirement with what they thought were the same ideas and values only to find that they were so different. I loved that they both enabled the other to find their way and to find out that "the grass is never greener" !! so relatable and enjoyable

Excellent story
I loved every minute of this story. It’s a realistic tale of the retirement and family situation of two very capable GPs starting retirement going through the ups & downs that needed to be navigated and working out how to find what each needed in their lives and that together they could achieve it despite a bumpy start. Beautifully narrated.

Excellent
A really lovely story. I loved Heather and got cross with Alan and ‘journeyed’ with Heather on her gap year. A work of fiction that gave me a lot to think about.
I was sad when the story ended which meant saying good bye to the characters.
