Publisher's Summary
Mouse: I rescued Mariana. I wanted her.
I couldn’t have her. Mariana doesn’t need a man like me in her life. A man who rides with an MC.
When she comes up against her most powerful enemy, Mariana needs someone to help. Why do I feel this draw that it should be me?
Why do I care?
Why do I feel this overriding need to save her? To sacrifice everything. Even marry her?
Mariana: I’ve been so careful. Done everything right. Obeyed every law. Given up my chance to be with the one man who intrigued me.
Despite everything I do, they catch up with me.
I’ve no one to call on but the half Navajo who’d come to my rescue. Would, could, he help?
The man I only saw once before they put me behind bars.

how easy it is to fall through the cracks
wow, this truly goes to show how government can get it so wrong. and how big corruption is rife.
what a ride. there was so much information on culture from different races.
manda so cleverly weaves all this with action, angst, and suspense. just when I thought things were settling, up pops another dilemma. just loved gorgeous mouse's story.
The politics and the illegal activity all mixed in with innocence and virtuous ideals.
I must admit, though, Manda has had some gritty stories in her past books, and I flinched in a few places, thinking that she's going to get right down to it, however the plotline tamed and I sighed in relief.
so much wonderful history to soak up.
Logan and Sierra were wonderful, especially Sierra's accent.
