About this listen
Moorings is the third in a chilling series of books which will rapidly convert followers of L. J. Ross, Faith Martin, Joy Ellis and Helen H. Durrant into David Blake devotees.
When Harry Falcon, a wealthy boatyard owner and decorated World War Two veteran, is found drowned in his bath, DI John Tanner and DC Jenny Evans start by questioning his two sons, each with a motive for wanting him dead. But when the elder son is found with his head smashed in under a toppled yacht, and the younger son has been talking to a local property developer, one who’d spent months trying to buy the yard from his father, the investigation soon leads them towards a dark and dangerous secret, one which nobody can quite believe. Set within the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a murder mystery that will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.

Engrossing and fun
Great narrator which makes this series of books even more fun. Story line keeps changing which I like and there is humour as well.

Quite exciting specially towards the end
Oh I did enjoy that. Not too long with a few murders. I enjoy the banter between sergeant and Jenny. It’s all rather silly so off the planet but a easy listen.

A bit broad...
i had hopes for these characters but they haven't really panned out. DI Tanner, who doesn't see why bereaved parents can't be SIO on their own child's murder investigation, doesn't understand why it's not okay for a DI to sleep with one of his DCs (hold hands in office, buy her gifts etc). DC Jenny has turned into a slightly pathetic love object who whines about being taken to London, bought expensive gifts etc. The DCI needs to lay down some basic expectations!
Meanwhile the plot and dialogue are a bit clunky with bad guys drawn in broad, cliched terms.
Basic elements like Norfolk setting are okay...could tighten up and get better...or not...
