Publisher's Summary
Overworked? Exhausted? Powering between career, family, and friends and frazzled and libido-less as a result? No wonder you're moody! But as New York psychiatrist Julie Holland explains in her radical and eye-opening new book, the first step to overcoming the lows is to accept that being testy is in our nature - we were made to be Moody B--ches.
Being a successful modern woman is hard, and for so many of us the constant flux in our hormones and the dips and dives our mood swings take make it that much harder. For more than 17 years, women have visited celebrated psychopharmacologist Dr. Julie Holland looking for the miracle cure to eradicate these feelings.
Now, in her illuminating and honest Moody B--ches, she details the invaluable advice she shares with her patients, revealing how suppressing our natural emotions is actually damaging. Instead she offers tried and tested alternatives to help keep the moods under control, making exhaustion and low sex drive a thing of the past.
From the meds you can trust to those you can't; from the foods you should be eating, the healthy behaviours you should be practicing, and the herbal remedies that actually work, Dr Julie imparts wisdom from years of not only professional but personal experience, too. Simple yet revolutionary, Moody B--ches is the life-changing self-help book for women and those who love them.

Its was ok, some interesting info
The narration was nasally and a little hard to listen to. The physiology info in the book was great, and some good ideas. One main idea is that women should think about going on antidepressants seasonally, and give them up in summer when the days are brighter and things seem better...I dont know how the author manages patients doing this. Its hell getting used to antidepressants for lots of people, and weaning yourself off them is worse. I cant imagine anything worse than doing that two or three times a year! Crazy. Also she talks a LOT about how men are hard wired for porn and are addicted to plastic images of women, so much so that they are no longer turned on by their real girlfriends...but then goes on to assure us that "heterosexual men go wild for a real womans curves so love your body" um. No. They don't...thats the problem! Theres lots of gender stereotyping going on. Also, she starts out by saying "your emotions are normal, youre meant to be anxious and high string and people around you should understand" but...actually severe PMS is a sign of serious imbalance and anyone who has lived with it will tell you its far from ok. Take this book with a grain of salt

I am not sure this is worth the hype
This book was quite disappointing considering the education level of the writer. I expected more. Would not listen to again.
