Promised a lot but was let down by average narration
If you’re are searching for an American narrator, you’ll probably love this, but for anyone else you’ll struggle to get beyond the average performance. Accents are dreadful. Seriously, did this guy even audition? I assume Duxon is supposed to be Scottish but who would know for sure.
The story is fine, nothing special and not a patch in the Lighbringer series. I won’t be continuing.

Once again Brandon Sanderson does not dissapoint
What did you like most about The Final Empire?
I like the 'in the moment' engaging method that Brandon uses.

What a great author, always a reliably good read/listen. I have to comment that the emphasis and inflection on the word 'balls' by the narrator had me in stitches at times. You'll see if you listen Haha!

Grew on me
First few chapters i found it difficult to follow michaels voice, but i think it was just being new to audio books. This story takes its time setting up but then sticks firm to it and delivers exceptionally well. i look forward to seeing where this fantasy world goes next!

total immersion
This book is pretty damn good. I recommend it.. like others have stated.,. it starts a bit slow. But the character/world building is really well done. just buy it.. you'll love it.

great travel companion
it was great, however at times reading dockson the accent was inconsistant and it got a little annoying otherwise, awesome work.
