Anya Novak was a talented viola player who had moved from Slovakia to New York City just a year before. With no family or close friends, she led a lonely life and much like her viola, she was comfortable being in the background. As the holidays approached, she was selected to play in a small chamber orchestra that would be performing a holiday concert at Lincoln Center. There, she met a mysterious older gentleman who introduced her to David, another musician. Like her, David also led a quiet and relatively lonely life and Anya began to think she had a chance at happiness. But a mishap two days before Christmas and the loss of her most prized possession changed that. Would she be able to overcome these challenges and connect with David?
Miss Novak’s Christmas is a story of overcoming adversity and insecurity. It also offers a unique view of Christmas beliefs and traditions. This is the third Christmas-themed novella by Robert A. Valle.
