Definitely alot to take on for a first book.
Performance is amazing But the many characters that could become the main character took the shine away from the main group of characters. Confused me in keeping track of who was who at some points and why bother keeping track sometimes it felt. Honestly you could cut out a third of the story just to move it along cause not much happens or they take you away from the main reason for the story mainline to even move on some. Its a weird story that the main characters aren't actually that important to the story goal since Marcuss has put so many side characters in that could take over and do the job better or faster. So it'll come down to the favouritism of the Gods and Luck roll.
So after a story with a spare cred too sink time into with wonderfully voiced characters and have their own quirks. This one is a good book. Just don't be surprised if it takes awhile for the main group of characters to actually get their ball rolling, about 13 hrs in and they get their heads in the maze game zone.
