Publisher's Summary

Tom Wallace's descent into darkness began slowly. First, he murdered two of his children in self-centered rage when he learned they were not his biological children. Second, he was fueled by his insatiable greed and desire for money. His involvement in drug trafficking started as a means to accumulate wealth beyond what his ranch and community involvement could provide. With his remote location and the use of innocuous-looking antiques as concealment, he operated discreetly, shielded from suspicion.

Despite his outwardly respectable persona, Tom's true nature—his desire for wealth—remained hidden from those around him, including his wife and son. His active participation in the community, his charitable acts, and his religious devotion served as a facade, allowing him to maintain the appearance of a virtuous and upstanding citizen.

However, Tom's hunger for more grew insatiable. Small-town Oklahoma could no longer contain his ambitions, and he yearned to enter the world of major drug cartels. In his pursuit of greater wealth and luxury, he underestimated the perils that awaited him. Unaware of the consequences, he stepped into the clutches of a ruthless drug lord, a man far more sinister than he could have ever imagined.

Once under the control of this formidable figure, Tom's life spiraled into a never-ending nightmare. The drug lord's power and influence ensnared him, leaving him trapped in a world of violence, fear, and constant danger. The evil he had dabbled in before paled in comparison to the true depths of depravity he now faced.

Tom's transformation from a seemingly good man to a deeply disturbed and morally corrupt individual was complete. His once-idyllic life in Cashion, Oklahoma, was shattered, and the consequences of his actions haunted him relentlessly. The facade he had carefully crafted came crashing down, revealing the darkness that had always resided within him.

In the end, Tom learned a harsh lesson about the nature of evil. His insatiable desires had led him down a path from which there was no return. The evil he had embraced had consumed him, leaving nothing but a shattered and broken soul in its wake.
