Lits of interesting info
There was a lot of interesting information for the beginner Meditator.
For the more experienced Mediator the information was a good reminder of the what, why, when and how of meditating.

Eye-opening perspectives on mindfulness
This is a great manual on mindfulness. Gunaratana's explanations are clear and insightful. I've read heaps of books about mindfulness but I still learned new things and new perspectives from his descriptions. The ending of the main part of the book is a beautiful and very moving piece of writing, some of the finest I've ever read.

Excellent Introduction
This is an exceptional introduction into mindfulness and meditation. The author provides a realistic understanding of our modern day challenges. He provides practical applications for the meditation methods and challenges to meditation that those of us not living in a monastery can utilize in our journey of self awareness and inner peace.

I would give this 6.5 stars if i could.
Unlike most of these kinds of books, it's a book that anybody (clueless people) can comprehend immediately.

Very helpful for beginners.
As a beginner I found it very helpful and have listened to it twice as you pick up more the more you listen. Make you realise what a hectic life we all live and we need to really commit to more self care like this.

You can’t go wrong with this
Foundational advice on meditation. I’ve read the hard copy and listened to it as well. I disagree with some of the recommended approaches of course, but a few thousand years of experience seems worth paying attention to. I have benefited too much over my years of meditation practice and understand that what works for me will differ for others. It’s a journey of a lifetime.
