About this listen
Hear the book New York Times bestselling author Whitney G. called "a sexy, fast-paced read that'll leave you hot, panting, and completely captivated!”
Fire captain and bar owner Becker Thomas usually spends his nights alone, trying to escape painful memories from his past. When he meets a sexy, free-spirited brunette outside his bar, he knows he's found the perfect way to forget for one night. But when he discovers the woman he wants back in his bed is his best friend's sister, everything comes to a halt.
Megan Jansen has one rule - no firemen. Just out of a toxic relationship, she's only in Hidden Oaks long enough to visit her brother and photograph the local calendar before she slips off on another adventure. The brooding man who gave her the best sex ever is an unexpected surprise. The problem is, he's her brother's friend...and a fireman. She knows she's going to get burned, but keeping their hands off each other is easier said than done.

Wow
This was a great read. Loved the characters, the scene to begin the story just reels you in. That they both changed their paths for each other just brilliant.
Narration was awesome too.

hot, hot, hot!
Not only was this book about firefighters but it needed a firefighter to put it out. It was so hot. The chemistry between Becker and Meghan was scorching, burning, sizzling with heat. One of the best books Lauren has written to date. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon were fantastic with the narration, really bringing the characters to life. Absolutely a five star review!!!!!

Romantic love story
Lovely romantic story where two people fall in love. The backdrop is a fireman and an arty gal, damaged by her past relationship and both haunted by being involved with fires. Great, easy listening.
Thank you

nice story
I read another of lauren blakelys books and I wasn't impressed but I always try a 2nd book just in case.
Im Glad I did as I enjoyed this one. I think it's the fire-fighter thing but It worked. I engaged with the the hero and heroine and I liked the plot. It was easy light and HEA
It was all about fear and past demons but it was nice to see the past exorcised in both.
Great little read.
narrator's awesome as usual.

Storyline is great
I liked the story itself. But I found Erin Mallon particularly in the sex scenes was way over done way over pronounced. Which I found really annoying

Narrators ruined this for me. Can not get past the neveeerrrrr, betteerrrr, on every word that ends in “er”. Just not great narration, the story deserves better.

The way the narrator drags the end of the words is extremely annoying. Stopped listening less than 1hour in.
