Meester Jaap is een echte meester, maar af en toe een beetje gek... In de klas van meester Jaap wordt veel geleerd, maar dan wel op een originele manier. De kinderen en hij trekken lootjes voor surprises, en voor het kerstdiner staat er boerenkool op het menu. Maar meester Jaap zorgt er ook voor dat er niet gepest wordt en dat de kinderen respect hebben voor elkaars achtergrond. Als Fatima op een dag op school komt met een hoofddoekje en iedereen begint te lachen, zet meester Jaap een oude dameshoed op zijn hoofd, en mag iedereen iets uit de verkleedkist pakken. Het is regelmatig een puinhoop in de klas van meester Jaap, maar wel een leuke! Voorgelezen door de meesterverteller zelf!
