About this listen
A nostalgic and subversive trip rife with sly nods to H. P. Lovecraft and pop culture, in the vein of It and Stranger Things.
In 1977 the Blyton Summer Detective Club unmasked the elusive Sleepy Lake monster - another low-life fortune hunter who would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for those meddling kids. By 1990 the former detectives are haunted by strange, half-remembered events that cannot be explained by a guy in a mask.
Andy, the once-intrepid tomboy now wanted in two states, wants answers. To find them she will need Kerri, the former kid genius and her excitable Weimaraner, Tim.
They will also have to get Nate, who is currently residing in an asylum. Luckily Nate has not lost contact with Peter, the handsome jock turned movie star who was once their leader...which is remarkable, considering Peter has been dead for years. The time has come to get the team back together and find out what happened all those years ago.

Great Scooby rif
Loved this book - read it all in 48h. Great homage to Scooby doo with a bunch of other pop culture references thrown in for good measure. Story moved at a fast pace and was nicely humorous. Loses one star because die hard Scooby fans may be unhappy that it breaks the golden rule and the writer uses some ‘interesting’ narrative techniques at times (I thought they worked ok, but they will anyone some I am sure). Narrator also does a great job. Highly recommended.

Not bad for Scooby Doo fans
A fun take on what happens to the ‘Scooby Doo’ crew. Tongue in cheek but fun mystery solved by the remnants of the former sleuths.

The fun Scooby Doo style story we wanted
disappointed by that trash show called Velma?
have no worries and listen to this!
this Sccoby Doo styled horror comedy novel is the quick witted tongue in cheek story we had all been looking for.
Easy to listen to with a fun twist.

Horrible
Have asked to return this book as I do not need to listen to subtle gay porn. Awful book didn’t bother finishing it.
