Great book

As per usual anything by Steven Rinella was terrific. This book being steered by Steven and stories told by "real people" as it was in the first close calls book is absolutely fantastic

Professional curation of death defying moments

I am a big fan of the MeatEater’s community, but these stories leave a listener rethinking moments in their own lives where we may have chanced our hand. Each story is well told, the narrative is real, relatable, suspenseful and gritty.
I felt the effort to seek help, I held my breathe, I lived many of these experiences. Thank you Mr Rinella et al, you are all worthy of many many more listens in the future.

10/10

Well done crew, a simply phenominal listen. These books are my absolute favourite. As a young man fully encapsulated by the natural world and all its offerings and wonderment i relish in these experiences and take so much from them. They have left me in tears and full of joy and wonderment. Keep them coming guys, bravo

Excellent recounts

Listened to these stories during our long trip across The Nullarbor. Definitely kept us entertained and alert, sometimes on the edge of our RV seat !
