Publisher's Summary
The first in a smart, sizzling new contemporary romance series by USA Today best-selling author Mira Lyn Kelly.
Jase Foster is as loyal and committed as a friend can get - when it comes to the guys, that is. But with women he keeps it casual and experiences what one would call a "high turnover rate".
Emily Klein is beautiful and confident...and has mile-long legs that have been strutting in and out of Jase's life since adolescence, leaving a wake of destruction. As they get paired up time after time as the best man and maid of honor in the upcoming nuptials of all of their best friends, Emily and Jase find their mutual resentment simmering just beneath the surface...right alongside their mutual attraction. Committed to maintaining order for their friends' sakes, they keep their personal loathing for each other under wraps...at least so long as they have an audience. But once they're alone...

Good steamy romance
It was worth the read. A good story that was narrated well. I'm disappointed the other books aren't available

Too long
This story could have been done in half the time. Jace and Emily are frenemies, both the tallest male and female in their seemingly endless group of marriageable aged friends and both equally close enough to those friends to be members of the wedding parties each and every time 🙄 They hook up at each wedding but don't like each other. Then they fall in love. End of story.

sweet and thoughtful
Really enjoyed what I have heard of this series. This one both entertaining and sad - she does create quite painful storylines at the window stage, with the pain the characters experiencing hard to listen to when they are likeable. Seems to be usually because of the stupidity of the male leads, and because of unresolved childhood issues .Not my favourite storyline, but I guess real. they are a sexy read, but finding she does cut short the telling if many love scenes, and feel a little shortchanged by that! Narrators great match for characters. Tad is one of my top, if not the top, male narrators. his delivery is pretty bang on, and works really well for less over top stuff...even love his female voices. Female narrator is great too. so good to have narrators that don't ruin, but even add to the enjoyment of a story.

Love it!
I LOVE this book!
This is the third time that I've listened to it. I Love the depth of Character in the two main characters. and it was refreshing to hear the thoughts behind the man. often in books I've thought that I feel like I hardly know what's going on with the guy character even at the end. But there's a depth given to these two that is satisfactory without dragging on into 15 minute explanations of stories that happened when they were a kid. I loved getting to know the Man's character for once, how he was affected by things and his caring thoughts. I loved the strong heroine who was courageous enough to be vulnerable despite all that she had been through. The woman's vocal performance was great as was the man's, I loved the accents. Love it!

A pain to get through
This was personally a slog to get through — I had to restart it 4 times because I kept spacing out and getting lost in the who’s who of the story. I would hardly call the main characters enemies if they’re boinking so often, and while it’s nice that the world is alive with background characters, they are all unfortunately one-dimensional. None of Emily’s friends pass the Bechdel test as well, which is disappointing for a girl group the author is trying to pass as a close friend group who’ve been through it all. I found Emily’s narrator robotic and so emotionless in her narration, and the romance was unconvincing. All I got from it was that he thought she was hot and that was it. Lucky it was free, I suppose.
