Andross Silver has a nice life...until he is pushed off a building and finds himself in a new world.

Reborn into a family that wants to kill him, gifted with a System, and armed with determination, Andross must rise to the challenges of a strange new world he suddenly finds himself in.

His only blessing is the Mark of the Crijik, a magical gift from a divine being that bestows great powers onto those that possess it.

It also kills them at the age of 25.

Andross must master magic to help him carve a path to greatness and overcome the countdown of death that has been placed upon him.

Experience the start of an Isekai LitRPG adventure about an unexpected hero coming of age in his new home, progressing in power and abilities as he unlocks the secrets of magic, and a System that may not be as trustworthy as it seems.

fun but too much tell, not enough show

Fun premise but an overwhelming majority of this book was exposition. It felt as though every other chapter was the MC bring talked to.

what little action and plot is shown is pretty cool.

Awesome

I read this book over a single weekend and loved every minute of it. The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't learn enough about the magic system and wider world as a whole, but I guess that's what a sequel is for.

Slow and bad MC

The book is slow with terrible passing. The MC spends most of the book as a baby which wouldn't be a problem if something actually was accomplished by this story element. The MC a baby who has adult memories in a new world is treated like he should know all the basic and when they are explained, the MC can only understand them like a child would, having to talk about the one basic concept for a whole chapter. The author is trying to build suspense and mystery by not explaining certain plot points but then go and the spoils whole mysterious in one sentence without the MC asking basic follow up questions.
